The Art of Wildlife in Watercolor
June 19 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 pm EDT
FreeDiscover the beauty of wildlife through watercolor during this beginner-friendly art workshop at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Led by local watercolor artists Lolly Walton and Kathie Benson, participants will learn basic watercolor techniques while creating nature-inspired artwork in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Drawing inspiration from wildlife field guides, reference books, and photographs, participants will explore how to capture the colors, textures, and character of birds, mammals, and other wildlife on paper. Guests are also welcome to bring their own wildlife photographs or nature-themed reference materials for inspiration.
Thanks to the generosity of our instructors, who are donating their time, and the support of Merritt Island Wildlife Association, all materials are provided. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or looking to develop a new creative hobby, this workshop offers a fun opportunity to connect with nature through art.
