Warbler Identification During Spring Migration

Join us for an engaging and interactive Warbler Identification Workshop, where we’ll focus on the warblers you’re most likely to encounter during Florida’s spring migration. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just getting started, this workshop will help sharpen your birding skills and improve your ability to identify these colorful, fast-moving songbirds.
Led by professional birding instructors, Dee and David Simpson – Birding with David Simpson, this workshop will cover key identification techniques, including field marks, behaviors, and habitat preferences. Participants will also receive hands-on guidance in using an interactive Warbler ID guide, a valuable tool designed to make identification easier in the field, which includes 3-D models for comparison.
Following the instructional session, we’ll take what we’ve learned into the great outdoors with a guided birding hike. With expert guidance, you’ll have the opportunity to practice spotting and identifying warblers in their natural habitat, reinforcing newly learned skills while experiencing the excitement of spring migration firsthand.
